Why the Carolina Jerks? The Carolina Hurricanes started it all. Well, actually Don Cherry did when he called them a “bunch of jerks” as an insult. Well, these NHL guys are just out there winning hockey games and having fun! We’ve embraced the jerks mentality as fans.
